** ARTIC nCoV-2019 V3 primer pool availability **
In the last post I alluded to the fact that ARTIC have been working with IDT to manufacture ARTIC nCoV-2019 V3 primer pools as a pre-pooled, ready to use formulation. I’m happy to announce that this is now the case and the QC batch has been tested in Birmingham and performed correctly.
V3 is the current ARTIC nCoV-2019 amplicon scheme which can generate up to 99.8% genome coverage in 98 overlapping amplicons. The update released three weeks ago added 11 additional primer pairs to improve coverage of problematic regions. As no further changes are expected in the short term I felt this was a good time to ‘lock down’ the scheme as it is and roll it out more widely.
If you would like to order the pools directly from IDT please use the following form; https://go.idtdna.com/NGS-Coronavirus-Research.html. If you are in the UK you can also contact account manager Sasha Thomas (email@example.com).
